 Benefits of MembershipIt is with great honor that we like to introduce the INDIAN DOCTORS ASSOCIATION to the physicians and dentists of Indian origin and dentists and urge them to be members of this organization and be a part of an elite community of professionals. HISTORY: IDA was formed in 1983 in Houston as a nonprofit organization and now has hundreds of physicians as members of the organization. MISSION / VISION: The organization strives to bring together the physicians/dentists of Indian origin and we foresee an expanded organization that will help the members socially and professionally. NETWORKING: IDA has many Events every year and serves as a portal of networking among like minded professionals. MENTORING: MSRF (Medical students, Residents and Fellows) are an integral part of the IDA and national AAPI and provides an opportunity for teaching between established physicians and MSRF.YPS(Young Physicians Section)provides an opportunity of networking among new physicians in practice. CHARITY CLINIC: IDA charity clinic has been offering free medical care to Houstonians for many years and will continue to be at the forefront of charity care for the indigent. COMMUNITY SERVICE: Our organization participates in numerous Health Fairs and helps the community during natural disasters like hurricane Katrina/Rita/Ike.
